  • 23rd Jun 2017 – Southsea’s latest pub, the Southsea Village, opened today on the site of the former Owens, Palmerston Road. Full review shall follow soon on the main pub pages.
  • 23rd Jun 2017 – The Leopold Tavern, Albert Road, has undergone another change of licensee, which has sadly led to a reduction of the cask beer sold. Just two beers are no offered, with no local breweries represented. A sorry state of affairs.
    7th Jun 2017 – The Invincible, Wickham Street, presently has its freehold for sale via Savills. The pub may be sold off for alternative use.
  • 6th Jun 2017 – Owens, Palmerston Road, is presently undergoing a major refit, prior to reopening as The Southsea Village – an independent beer house and eaterie.
  • 6th Jun 2017 – The Old House at Home, Locksway Road, has reopened following refurbishment. The pub now offers an increased choice of cask beers, with local breweries being supported.
  • 23rd May 2017 – The Golden Eagle, Fawcett Road, is presently undergoing an external refurbishment.
  • 22nd May 2017 – The Fifth Hants Volunteer Arms, Albert Road, is due to close on Sunday 28th May due to the early departure of the incumbent licensees, who have been unable to make the pub a viable business. The future of the pub is therefore uncertain.
  • 11th May 2017 – The Admiral Drake, Kingston Crescent, is presently on the market (freehold) via RightMove estate agents.
  • 11th May 2017 – The Victory, The Hard, reopens on Friday 12th May at noon. See the pub’s Facebook page for details.
  • 5th May 2017 – The Golden Hind, Copnor Road, is presently closed for a refit and is due to reopen on 12th May.
  • 5th May 2017 – Both the Leopold Tavern and the Milton Arms have reopened today following a period of closure.
  • 5th Apr 2017 – The Tap, London Road, is temporarily closed following the departure of the licensee. Punch Taverns shall reopen the pub once a replacement is appointed.
  • 31st Mar 2017 – The Lawrence Arms, Lawrence Road, has been named 2017 Portsmouth & South East Hampshire CAMRA Cider Pub of the Year.
  • 30th Mar 2017 – Major refurbishment work is now well underway at the Sallyport Hotel, High Street.
  • 28th Mar 2017 – The Still & West Country House, Bath Square, reopens today after an extensive refit.
  • 26th Mar 2017 – Brewhouse & Kitchen (White Swan), Guildhall Walk, has opened a rooftop beer garden to the rear of the pub.
  • 24th Mar 2017 – The Southsea Brewery, Southsea Castle, reopens its bar/shop for the Spring & Summer season on Saturday 25th March – from noon ’til 4pm. Beers available on tap, in bottle and in minikeg to take away.
  • 23rd Mar 2017 – The Churchillian, Portsdown Hill Road, has reopned following an extensive refurbishment. See the pub’s entry on this site for the fully updated review.
  • 22nd Mar 2017 – Huis, Elm Grove, has today announced that it shall cease its restaurant service on 5th April for the foreseeable future, due to the financial impact caused by a series of recent break-ins and thefts. The business shall continue to trade as a bar.
  • 20th Mar 2017 – The Lady Hamilton, The Hard, shall be introducing a new version of the pub’s former dining menu – cooked by the same kitchen staff – from 11th April. This shall include, from 16th April, the pub’s very popular Sunday roasts.
  • 19th Mar 2017 – It has been announced today that the Milton Arms is the latest victim of the barbaric business policies of Enterprise Inns. The pub and barn shall be closing on 16th April. The future of the pub is therefore uncertain and subject to a new lessee being found.
  • 18th Mar 2017 – The owners of Jags@119, Elm Grove, have plans to extend the bar counter to the front of the building and add a further six beer taps, to bring the total to ten. It is hoped to stock beers from local microbreweries alongside the four BrewDog beers already on offer.
  • 13th Mar 2017 – Fuller’s has apparently offloaded the Brewers Arms, Milton Road, to an unknown buyer. It is rumoured that the pub shall either be demolished or converted for housing.
  • 12th Mar 2017 – The Florist, Fratton Road, has now reopened. No cask ale is yet offered, though three beer engines suggest that it shall be introduced before long.
  • 12th Mar 2017 – The former Camden public house, Queen Street, is under threat of demolition following the submission of a planning application to construct a seven storey Premier Inn on the site. Full details here.
  • 10th Mar 2017 – The Fort Cumberland Arms, Eastney Road, has now reopened and is due to reintroduce cask ale soon.
  • 9th Mar 2017 – The former licensees of the Leopold Tavern have today opened their new, specialist bottle shop, The Beer Musketeer, at 112 Albert Road, Southsea.
  • 9th Mar 2017 – The Churchillian, Portsdown Hill Road, is presently closed for refurbishment.
  • 1st Mar 2017 – The Still & West Country House, Bath Square, is now closed for a major refurbishment.
  • 28th Feb 2017 – The Sallyport Hotel, High Street, is now sadly back on the market after the previous developers withdrew from the project due to planning issues. Savills is now inviting offers for the building.
  • 28th Feb 2017 – The tenancy of the Golden Eagle, Fawcett Road, is available via McCoy’s pub brokers.
  • 27th Feb 2017 – The inn sign of the Brewers Arms, Milton Road, has been removed, along with the ‘business opportunity’ board that has been displayed on the frontage for the past year or so.
  • 25th Feb 2017 – The lastest casualty of Enterprise Inns looks to be the ABarBistro, White Hart Road. Rumour has it that EI Group has slapped a huge rent increase upon the operators of this popular bistro and wine merchant, forcing the lessees to vacate the building soon.
  • 25th Feb 2017 – The Florist, Fratton Road and the Fort Cumberland Arms, Eastney Road, are both due to reopen in mid March. More details to follow in due course.
  • 22nd Feb 2017 – A planning application has been submitted to convert the Jameson Arms, Church Road, into five flats. Full details can be found here.
  • 22nd Feb 2017 – Fuller Smith & Turner has been granted listed building consent to refurbish the exterior of the Still & West County House, Bath Square. View the pub’s new look here.
  • 21st Feb 2017 – The city council has granted a licence for a specialist Bottle Shop, The Beer Musketeer, to open at 112 Albert Road. The business shall be owned by the outgoing licensees of the nearby Leopold Tavern.
  • 19th Feb 2017 – Following the shock closure of the Leopold Tavern this weekend, another popular Southsea local may now be under threat due to the actions of owner EI Group (Enterprise Inns) – The licensee of the Phoenix, Duncan Road, is due to meet EI in a couple of weeks time to discuss a pending rent increase.   • 17th Feb 2017 – The Vaults, Albert Road, has launched a new house beer, Hop Rod, brewed exclusively for the pub by the Staggeringly Good Brewery.
  • 17th Feb 2017 – Al’Burrito Bar, Albert Road, has announced that it shall be leaving the premises soon. It’s last trading day will be Saturday 25th February. The company’s eaterie in Cosham shall continue trading and the owners are now looking for a new premises for a bar/restaurant.
  • 17th Feb 2017 – The Lady Hamilton, The Hard, has now reopened following a lengthy period of closure and a subsequent extensive refit. Full review to appear in the main listings soon.
  • 15th Feb 2017 – The former Old Vic, St Paul’s Road, is soon to reopen as a Lebanese restaurant.
  • 14th Feb 2017 – Licensees Stuart & Mandy Ainsworth of Portsmouth’s current CAMRA Pub of the Year, the Leopold Tavern, Albert Road, have announced today that they are quitting the pub due to an excessive rent increase imposed by owner Enterprise Inns. Their final day at the helm shall be Sunday 19th February. We wish them all the best in their future ventures.

  • 10th Feb 2017 – As of Saturday 11th February, the Fleet, King Henry I Street, will offer a 10% discount on cask ales, on production of a valid CAMRA membership card.
  • 9th Feb 2017 – Signs of life have been reported at the presently-closed Brewers Arms, Milton Road.
  • 9th Feb 2017 – The News is reporting the potential closure of the Fort Cumberland Arms, Eastney Road, following speculation of the present tenants’ departure. Read the story here.
  • 9th Feb 2017 – The Royal Standard, Edinburgh Road, has been allowed to continue trading following a review of the pub’s licence on 8th February. Tighter conditions have been applied to the pub’s licence. Read The News’ article here.
  • 9th Feb 2017 – The application to convert the upper storeys of the former Trafalgar pub, Edinburgh Road, has since been withdrawn.
  • 9th Feb 2017 – Listed Building consent has been granted to convert the first and second floors of the former Old Vic, St Paul’s Road, into a seven bedroom house.
  • 6th Feb 2017 – A new threat is being reported to one of Portsmouth’s institutions, the Royal Standard, Edinburgh Road. Read today’s News article here.
  • 1st Feb 2017 – The City Council has recently received a planning application to convert the upper storeys of the former Scott’s Bar (latterly Kitsch n’ d’Or) into six private dwellings. This includes the retention of a cafe/restaurant on the ground floor. However, the application is unlikely to succeed, at it includes a wish to construct a second floor extension to the building, which lies in a conservation area. Full details here.
  • 1st Feb 2017 – The Portsmouth & South East Hampshire branch of the Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA) has named the Leopold Tavern, Albert Road, its 2017 Pub Of The Year, with Staggeringly Good Beer taking the prize for 2017 Brewery Of The Year.
  • 23rd Jan 2017 – Planning permission is being sought to open a specialist ‘bottle shop’ at 112 Albert Road, Southsea. The Beer Muskateer plans to offer the largest selection of beers in South East Hampshire, with products from around the world.
  • 22nd Jan 2017 – The Eldon Arms, Eldon Street has reopened with a new manager at the helm.
  • 15th Jan 2017 – A new pub/bar, Dixie’s, has opened at 58c High Street, Cosham, by the former licensee of the now-closed Swan.
  • 11th Jan 2017 – Staggeringly Good Brewery, Rodney Road, has launched a new house beer, Hole In Time, exclusively for the Hole In The Wall, Great Southsea Street.
  • 11th Jan 2017 – A planning application has been submitted to the City Council to convert the upper floors of the former Trafalgar pub, Edinburgh Road, to student halls of residence. The application includes plans to open a new public house on the ground floor.
  • 9th Jan 2017 – The Battle of Minden, St Mary’s Road, looks likely to close for the final time on 28th January.

  • 13th Aug 2016 – The Fountain, London Road, is reported to have been put on the market by owner Enterprise Inns.
    13th Aug 2016 – The Florist, Fratton Road, has reopened for business with the same team of staff. The pub is now being operated by the freeholder, Chris Hunt, following Oakleaf Pub Co’s entry into administration.

  • 1st Aug 2016 – Gosport based Oakleaf Brewing Co is reported to have ceased brewing. Further details to follow.
    29th Jul 2016 – Planning permission has been granted to private developers for the ‘regeneration’ of the prominent corner-plot on Cosham High Street, presently occupied by the Swan pub.

  • 22nd Jul 2016 – The Trafalgar, Edinburgh Road, is reported to have now closed, pending conversion to student accommodation.
  • 10th Jul 2016 – A planning application has been submitted to convert the Old Vic, St Paul’s Road, into an eleven bedroom, multi-occupancy house.
    21st Jun 2016 – Southsea Brewing Co shall be holding its grand opening within Southsea Castle from noon on 17th July.
  • 7th Jun 2016 – Southsea’s new craft beer house and diner, Crafty Hotdog, has opened next door to the Fifth Hants Volunteer Arms on Albert Road. The bar offers forty bottled beers and shall be introducing unusual draft beers soon. The premises is open to non-diners.
  • 15th May 2016 – It is reported that Wiltshire Brewer Wadworth & Co has seen fit to rip out the original bar counter and bar-back from the King Street Tavern, Norfolk Street. It is a great pity that the pub’s owner does not appreciate the heritage of its assets (the same company has a history in Portsmouth of vandalising their estate – see main entry for The Florist).
  • 4th May 2016 – The bar at Fratton’s Staggeringly Good Brewery is now open to the public on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. See the main pub listings or Current Breweries pages for times.
    28th Apr 2016 – The Pelham Arms, Chichester Road, is presently ungoing a major refit.
  • 24th Apr 2016 – The Swan, High Street, Cosham, is presently closed, with all internal fittings removed. Future uncertain.
  • 17th Apr 2016 – The Old House at Home, Locksway Road, has now reopened under new management. However, the pub shall temporarily close for refurbishment work shortly.
  • 8th Apr 2016 – The Invincible, Wickham Street, has reopened for business.
  • 4th Apr 2016 – Both the Old House At Home, Locksway Road and the Invincible, Wickham Street, have closed following the insolvency of the operating company and the refusal of owner Enterprise Inns to continue supplying the pubs with drinks. Both houses now face an uncertain future in the hands of this notoriously unsympathetic and debt-ridden pubco.
  • 4th Apr 2016 – El Nico, High Street, is reported to have closed for business today. Future uncertain.

  • 19th Mar 2016 – The Dolphin, High Street, shall be closing on 28th March due to the leaseholders being unable to come to an agreement with the premises owner regarding renewal of lease.
  • 11th Mar 2016 – The News today reports that the King Street Tavern has closed following the resignation of the licensee.
  • 28th Feb 2016 – The Wellington, High Street, is currently undergoing an extensive refit, including the relocation of the bar counter.
    28th Feb 2016 – The Florence Arms, Florence Road, is presently closed for a minor refurbishment.
  • 27th Jan 2016 – The Hole In The Wall, Great Southsea Street, has picked up its seventh Portsmouth & SE Hampshire CAMRA Pub of the Year award.
  • 5th Jan 2016 – Conditional permission has been granted to convert 105 Commercial Road (former amusement arcade) to a restaurant and bar.
  • 5th Jan 2016 – Planning permission to carry out external alterations to the former Connaught Arms, Guildford Road, for conversion to a convenience store has been refused. A revised application is now likely to be submitted.
  • 5th Jan 2016 – A planning application has been submitted to convert the former Old Canal Inn, Shirley Road, into five flats.
  • 28th Dec 2015 – The Auckland Arms, Netley Road, has increased its cask beer range to three – now offering a Irving Frigate alongside the two Marstons ales.
  • 22nd Dec 2015 – Christie & Co are agents for the sale of the lease of Enterprise Inn’s Kitch ‘n’ d’Or (Scott’s Bar), Eldon Street.
  • 22nd Dec 2015 – Staggeringly Good has announced that the company’s new brewery, located on Rodney Road, Milton, shall be open to the public in January. The premises will include an off-sales shop as well as a bar for consumption of beer on site.
  • 21st Dec 2015 – Seasonal opening hours for the Florist, Fratton Road and Hole In The Wall, Gt Southsea Street, can be found by clicking on the relevant pub’s name.
  • 21st Dec 2015 – The Sunshine Inn, Havant Road, has now reopened following an external refurbishment, however the internal refit has been postponed due to the discovery of asbestos in the ceiling void. The sale of cask ale shall not go ahead until after the refurbishment has been completed.
  • 18th Dec 2015 – Just outside this website’s covered area, but most worthy of a mention – Havant Brewery has announced that the company has been saved from closure and production of beer shall resume in early 2016. This is excellent news and we wish our friends at Havant Brewery all the best for the future.
  • 18th Dec 2015 – The Mr Pickwick, Milton Road, is reported to be available to let.
  • 10th Dec 2015 – Molly Powell – licensee of the Duke of Devonshire, Albert Road – has celebrated an impressive 50 years of being a publican – previously running the long-closed Railway Hotel, Claremont Road and Trafalgar Arms, Fratton Road before taking up residency at the Duke of Devonshire.

  • 6th Dec 2015 – Aberdeenshire based BrewDog has held preliminary talks with Enterprise Inns regarding the possible takeover of the former Kitsch n D’Or restaurant (previously Scott’s Bar), Eldon Street.
  • 5th Dec 2015 – Rumours are surfacing of yet another brewing operation due to launch in the north of the city in 2016.
  • 4th Dec 2015 – The Connaught Arms, Guildford Road, is presently undergoing conversion to a convenience store, with private accommodation on the upper storeys. View the plans here.
  • 2nd Dec 2015 – The former Thomas Ellis Owen-designed Portland Hotel, Kent Road, is due to be auctioned on 14th December after years of standing empty.
  • 25th Nov 2015 – The Grapes, London Road, opened last Friday following a full refurbishment. Unfortunately, no cask ale is sold, with big-brand keg beers being the only offerings.
  • 25th Nov 2015 – Huis, Elm Grove, shall be introducing a new range of bottled Christmas beers from Belgium, as of next week. 
  • 16th Nov 2015 – The Lanyard, London Road, has closed it doors for a complete refurbishment and shall reopen under new management, with a new name – The Grapes.
  • 14th Nov 2015 – It would appear that BrewDog’s plan to open a bar in Portsmouth has dropped down the company’s list of priorities. The city is not listed among the 2016 openings, but is now an ‘also interested in’ location. Click here to read the article.
  • 9th Nov 2015 – A new lessee is presently being sought for The Pelham Arms, Chichester Road, by Punch Taverns.
  • 8th Nov 2015 – The Sunshine Inn, Havant Road, is presently undergoing an external (and hopefully internal) refurbishment. It is hoped that this means Enterprise Inns has now found a new lessee.
  • 8th Nov 2015 – National pubco JD Wetherspoon has placed the Trafalgar, Edinburgh Road, on the market, along with 33 of its other houses.
  • 8th Nov 2015 – A planning application to open a new bar and restaurant at 105 Commercial Road has been submitted to the city planners. Click here to view plans of the proposed interior:
  • 4th Nov 2015 – Huis, Elm Grove, now has a range of fifty different Belgian bottled beers. New varieties are also being offered on draught, with a wider selection being sold in pints and half pints.
  • 4th Nov 2015 – The Florist, Fratton Road, shall be reopened by Oakleaf Pub Co at 5pm on 17th November.
  • 30th Oct 2015 – The Hole In The Wall, Great Southsea Street, has reopened today following a two-week refurbishment.
  • 30th Oct 2015 – It has been confirmed today that Southsea Brewery shall soon have a new home in Casemate 7 of Southsea Castle.
  • 25th Oct 2015 – The future of the Old Vic, St Paul’s Road, is believed to be under threat.
  • 22nd Oct 2015 – The long-closed Sallyport Hotel, High Street, is now being fully refurbished and will reopen as a boutique hotel in roughly 20 months time. It is unclear at this stage as to whether a public bar shall once again be included.

  • 22nd Oct 2015 – Rumours abound that the Florence Arms, Florence Road, may be at risk if a new licensee cannot be found for the pub.
  • 22nd Oct 2015 – The Hole In The Wall, Great Southsea Street, is temporarily closed for refurbishment of the lavatories and bar areas. Normal service shall be resumed with a week.
  • 22nd Oct 2015 – Work continues at pace at the Florist, Fratton Road, where the Oakleaf Pub Company are due to reopen the pub in November. Expect a wide range of real ales and ‘craft keg’ and foreign beers.
  • 22nd Oct 2015 – Latest news regarding the aforementioned Kitsch N D’or restaurant, Eldon Street, is that the site shall now not be reopening as a pub. The building is likely to be sold off by owner Enterprise Inns after an interested party withdrew their offer to reopen as a pub.
  • 6th Sep 2015 – Oakleaf Pub Co. of Gosport have taken over the lease of the Florist, Fratton Road and plan to reopen the house in early November, following essential works to the interior.
  • 18th Aug 2015 – Huis, Elm Grove, shall soon be offering a differing selection of draught Belgian beers. Since opening, the draught range has remained static.
  • 16th Aug 2015 – Enterprise Inns shall be reopening the former Kitsch N D’or restaurant, Eldon Street, as a public house sometime within the next few months.
  • 14th Aug 2015 – The White Swan, Guildhall Walk, shall be closed from 17th August until approximately 14th September for refurbishment.
  • 12th Aug 2015 – Huis, Elm Grove, has now obtained an off-licence, meaning that all its bottled beers can now be taken home, at a 10% discount on the drink-in prices.
  • 10th Aug 2015 – Kitsch N D’or, the French restaurant housed in what was once Scott’s Bar (previously the Elm Brewery Tap), has closed after fifteen years of trading. The premises is being handed back to landlord Enterprise Inns.
  • 8th Aug 2015 – A new ale house is rumoured to be opening on Elm Grove, Southsea, in the premises formerly occupied by Relentless steak & lobster house.
  • 22nd Jul 2015 – Hilsea’s Urban Island Brewery has began supplying local ale houses with its new 5.5% Americas Cup themed beer High & Dry.
  • 22nd Jul 2015 – Southsea Brewery has recently delivered a consignment of 400 bottles of its commemorative Americas Cup themed ale to Southsea Castle, ready for the racing which is due to take place this week on the Solent.
  • 22nd Jul 2015 – Rumours are afoot of another new ale house in the Elm Grove area of Southsea.
  • 17th Jul 2015 – A planning application is currently pending for the demolition of the Victory, The Hard (together with Brunel House and adjacent properties) and the construction of a forty storey halls of residence on the site. A new pub/bar is an option included within the planning application.
  • 15th Jul 2015 – The Royal Albert, Albert Road, is presently undergoing refurbishment.
  • 4th Jul 2015 – The licensees of the Fort Cumberland Arms, Eastney Road, have quit the pub following a disagreement with the pub’s owner. Full story:

  • 1st Jul 2015 – The Hole In The Wall, Gt Southsea Street, shall be increasing its range of bottled Belgian beers and now carries Belgain kegged beers such as Pauwel Kwak and Huyghe Delirium Tremens, while stocks last.
  • 1st Jul 2015 – Huis, Elm Grove, is now fully air conditioned and has increased its bottled beer range to fifty varieties. A revised beer menu shall be available on site very soon.
  • 20th Jun 2015 – The long-closed Sallyport Hotel, High Street, is reported to have been sold and shall be refurbished and reopened. It’s not yet known whether a public bar shall be included.
  • 10th Jun 2015 – The newly-refurbished Clarence, London Road, North End, now serves cask conditioned ale.
  • 10th Jun 2015 – The Connaught Arms, Guildford Road, has now been sold to an undisclosed buyer. The pub shall remain trading as such in the short term, though it is likely to be converted to housing at a later date if planning permission is granted.
  • 10th Jun 2015 – The Alma Arms, Highland Road, has been offloaded by its owner, Enterprise Inns, for conversion to private housing.
  • 4th Jun 2015 – The Connaught Arms, Guildford Road, is reported to be closed and stripped of furnishings.
  • 2nd Jun 2015 – Pub operator Spirit Group has recently been acquired by rival company Greene King – a takeover that looks set to be approved by the CMA. This could lead to changes at Portsmouth’s only Spirit pub, the Coach & Horses, where drinks are now likely to be changed to GK brands.
  • 1st Jun 2015 – The Lady Hamilton, The Hard, is reported to have been taken off the property market whilst the estate of the former, late, licensee is dealt with.
  • 31st May 2015 – The Clarence Gardens, London Road, has reopened following refurbishment. A full review shall appear in the pub’s main listing later this week.
  • 31st May 2015 – Huis, Albert Road, is now hosting live music sessions from 4pm on Sundays. ‘Like’ the bar’s Facebook page to receive regular updates.
  • 29th May 2015 – Aberdeenshire brewer BrewDog is confirmed to be actively seeking a suitable site in Portsmouth in which to open a bar.
  • 27th May 2015 – Huis, Albert Road, is presently increasing its storage area in order to carry more bottle stock and kegs.
  • 25th May 2015 – The Mr Pickwick, Milton Road, presently has the builders in – hopefully this shall result in a much needed refurbishment of a presently tired pub.
  • 23rd May 2015 – The 5th Hants Volunteer Arms, Albert Road, has its tenancy available via McCoy’s pub brokers.
  • 20th May 2015 – The Churchillian, Portsdown Hill, is now stocking ale from Droxford’s Bowman Brewery alongside other local micro Irving & Co.
  • 19th May 2015 – The Vaults, Albert Road, is presently increasing its range of ‘craft’ and foreign bottled ales, with a view to having a dedicated bar counter for the sale of these products.
  • 19th May 2015 – The  Duke of Buckingham, High Street, is now stocking ales from Gosport’s Oakleaf Brewery.
  • 19th May 2015 – Dark Star Brewing Co. is rumoured to be in negotiations to take over a pub within the city of Portsmouth.

  • 16th May 2015 – Southsea Brewing Co launched its first ale, High Tide IPA (5.4% ABV) at the Portsmouth Beer Festival yesterday, at the Guildhall.

  • 12th May 2015 – Following a brief closure, the Park Tavern, Edinburgh Road, has reopened and now stocks cask conditioned Oakleaf Hole Hearted ale.
  • 27th Apr 2015 – The former pub and popular music venue, the Cellars At Eastney, is due to close for good on 1st August. A sad end to an excellent little venue and a real loss for live entertainment in Portsmouth.
  • 16th Apr 2015 – Southsea’s Belgian beer bar and bistro, Huis, opens at noon on Friday 17th April. The bar aims to offer over 350 competitively-priced Belgian beers.
  • 24th Mar 2015 – The Jolly Taxpayer, Eastbourne Road, has struck a deal with Gosport’s Oakleaf Brewery to supply the pub with ‘guest’ cask ales.
  • 20th Mar 2015 – The Co-Operative has applied for a Premises Licence for the Salisbury Hotel, Lonsdale Avenue, Cosham – to enable the site to sell alcohol following its conversion to a convenience store.
  • 16th Mar 2015 – The Invincible, Wickham Street, presently has its tenancy available through Enterprise Inns.
  • 27th Feb 2015 – The Artillery Arms, Hestor Road, is due to be taken over by the Triple fff brewery in late March.
